This week has been another super busy week, but some very good things have happened that I’m planning on blogging about next week. In the meantime, here are some of my favourite links from this past week.
First up, planning your budget for irregular income from Work Save Live. This is something that I’m going to have to learn how to do, so I read this post with interest. The system outlined here makes sense to me!
Aloysa at My Broken Coin has some friends with high end taste and expectations – a $2,000 painting for a birthday present? With friends like that, I’d be broke. I can understand her frustration, and it does make me wonder, what ever happened to just spending time with friends?
Over at Enemy of Debt, the topic is finding ways to curb back to school costs. This is something I try to do every year – next week I have to do all my back to school shopping. Thankfully, my oldest son seems to have stopped growing, so he doesn’t need much for clothes; being in high school, he needs pens and binders and not much else. My youngest needs tons of stuff….
Over at The Dog Ate My Wallet, Erin wrote about the good customer service she has received from the vet clinic and specialist looking after her dog. She works in human healthcare, and finds that the vet clinics give superior service. I agree – I work in customer service and service is deteriorating everywhere. It’s kind of sad, actually.
It’s a short list this week, not because there weren’t lots of good reads, but because I’ve run out of time. Hope you enjoy them!
